SIP Enablement Services (AVAYA)

Avaya SIP Enablement Services provides the fundamental services required to establish a SIP communications network within the enterprise:

  • SIP Proxy Server
  • SIP Registrar

Designed to be a flexible, multi-purpose SIP routing platform, Avaya SIP Enablement Services can be deployed in many types of solutions:

  • Avaya SIP Enablement Services extends the power of Avaya Communication Manager to Avaya SIP telephones including the 9620, 9630/G, 9640/G, 16CC, 4602SW, 4610SW, 4620SW, 4621SW and certified third-party SIP telephones
  • Avaya SIP Enablement Services integrates with carrier-based public SIP trunks and allows them to be delivered to one or more:
    • Avaya Communication Manager instances
    • Avaya IP Office 4.0 instances
    • Avaya Quick Edition instances
  • Avaya SIP Enablement Services supports SIP-based Presence and Instant Messaging with Avaya IP Softphone, Avaya IP Agent, Avaya one-X™ Desktop, and Avaya one-X™ Deskphones
  • Avaya SIP Enablement Services facilitates SIP-based private networking for:

What's New With This Release

Avaya SIP Enablement Services 5.0 is a key component of the new Avaya SIP Call Center solution, which includes the new Avaya Agent Desktop 16CC SIP call center agent telephone and support for User-to-User Information (UUI) and Network Call Redirection (NCR) in conjunction with Avaya Voice Portal, Avaya G860, and/or select SIP Service Providers.
Avaya SIP Enablement Services 5.0 also includes security enhancements, new SIP-based user mobility features, and is now packaged as an embedded component of the Avaya Communication Manager 5.0 primary controller on the S8300C server platform to provide a more cost-effective SIP solution offer for the small and mid-markets.

• SIP Enablement Services enhances productivity with support for SIP SIMPLE-based presence and Instant Messaging (IM), allowing employees to quickly switch communications from IM to voice at a touch of a button.
