The powerful Avaya Extension to Cellular feature of Avaya Communication Manager can connect callers to employees wherever they are - with just one call. Extension to Cellular transparently bridges calls received by an Avaya Communications Server to any digital cell phone; regardless of location or wireless service provider. It can be activated or deactivated simply by pressing a feature button on an Avaya desktop phone. Since Release 5 - several Avaya Communication Manager station features have been available to digital cell phone users. They can transfer calls, conference in others parties and place and answer calls on multiple lines with their personal cell phone; improving productivity while outside of the office.

This new release of Extension to Cellular adds several new capabilities.  Most significant is the ability to self-administer the cellular number used for Extension to Cellular from any touch tone phone.  Three new extension features are added: whisper page, automatic call back, and call pickup extended group.  Finally, there is now a barge-in tone that is heard by all parties when one bridges on.
